Halston

Halston follows Roy Halston Frowick, a gifted fashion designer who rises from a small-town childhood to New York fame. He builds a powerful brand and becomes close to stars such as Liza Minnelli and Elsa Peretti. His need for control clashes with business owners, friends, lovers, and his own drug addiction. The five-part drama has a glamorous but sad tone.

The show makes Halston’s gay identity and relationships a major part of his life story. It shows his romance with Victor Hugo, his close circle of gay artists, and the private world around Studio 54.
