Prospect follows Cee, a teenage girl who travels with her father, Damon, to a poisonous forest moon. They hope to mine rare gems and earn enough money to escape their hard life. A damaged landing pod, rival prospectors, mercenaries, and a dangerous forest turn the job into a fight for survival. After Damon dies, Cee must work with Ezra, a smooth-talking outlaw who may help her or betray her. The movie has a tense, rough space-western tone with strange tools, old-looking machines, and long stretches of danger.
