Overdrive follows half-brothers Andrew and Garrett Foster, who steal rare cars for a living. In the south of France, they steal a 1937 Bugatti and learn that the car belongs to crime boss Jacomo Morier. Morier gives them one week to steal a prized Ferrari from his enemy, Max Klemp, or lose their lives. The brothers build a small crew, face double crosses, and race through Marseille and the French coast in a glossy, fast, light action story.
The film gives two women clear roles in the heist team. Andrew’s girlfriend Stephanie helps the plan, escapes from captivity, and carries a gun, while Devin uses her pickpocket skills and drives a rescue vehicle. These choices show capable women in a male crime world, but the film treats them mainly as partners and love interests rather than as a message about gender or identity. The main ideas are family loyalty, romance, revenge, greed, and the fun of stealing beautiful cars.

Creator track record context
The cached record gives Antonio Negret 23/100 and the two writers 11/100 and 4/100. The producers also have low scores and no clear activist record. Casting director Dixie Chassay has a higher cached score because she has spoken about diverse casting. No title-specific activist message was found, so this context is weak.
