Madison is a popular social media influencer on a solo trip in Thailand after her boyfriend cancels. She posts bright travel pictures, but she feels lonely and unhappy away from the camera. She meets CW, a quiet traveler who takes her to less touristy places and offers a freer way to live. The trip turns into a tense fight for survival when CW reveals that she has been watching Madison for a darker reason.
The film focuses on fake online lives, attention, loneliness, and the danger of trusting a stranger. CW steals Madison’s passport, leaves her on an empty island, and uses her accounts to pretend she is still alive. The story also follows CW as she targets another female influencer and uses deepfake videos and voice tricks to hide her crimes.
