Come and Find Me follows David, a quiet Los Angeles graphic designer whose girlfriend Claire suddenly vanishes. He waits and searches for her, then follows clues from Los Angeles to Vancouver. His search brings him into contact with criminals, a government agent, and people who knew Claire under other names. The film moves between warm memories of the couple and a tense, violent mystery.
Claire’s hidden life gives the story its one clear gender-role twist. She is a trained killer who knows how to survive, while David is the loving partner who is frightened, confused, and later needs her rescue. The reversal grows out of Claire’s secret work and the danger around her. Its main themes are trust, grief, secrets, obsession, and the pain of learning that a loved one was never fully known.
