Erin Collantes lives in Barcelona with her husband, Jordi, and her daughter, Harper. She works as a substitute teacher and tries to hide the violent life she left in England. After Erin kills an armed robber during a supermarket raid, criminals and police begin to uncover her past. The seven-episode season mixes bloody action, family drama, school trouble, black humor, and a mystery about Erin’s name and loyalty.
Erin is shown as a woman who can teach, raise a child, work undercover, and defeat armed men much larger than herself. She remains the main answer to nearly every physical danger, while Jordi and several male police and crime figures mostly help her, fail her, or lose to her. The season also gives women the most important emotional turns, especially Erin’s bond with Lena and Penelope’s decision to leave her unfair husband.
