Beyond follows Holden Matthews, a 25-year-old who wakes after 12 years in a coma. He returns to a family and town that moved on without him, while strange powers pull him toward the Realm, a dangerous world linked to the sleeping and the dead. Willa warns Holden that people are hunting him, and Hollow Sky wants to use what happened to him. The show mixes family drama, young romance, mystery, and supernatural danger.
Season 1 focuses on Holden learning what the Realm is and why Willa, her grandfather Arthur, and the Hollow Sky group are tied to it. Holden tries to protect his family as he chooses between a normal life and the power inside him. Season 2 shifts toward Holden's job, his relationship with Willa, Charlie's return, and a new threat from Diego, another changed coma survivor. Willa and Luke help destroy Hollow Sky's machine, but the finale leaves Willa captured and Holden's future uncertain. The main themes are family loyalty, trust, grief, free will, and the danger of chasing power.
