Honey Trehan is an Indian casting director, producer and filmmaker whose career began in Delhi theatre before he became a close collaborator of Vishal Bhardwaj, receiving early casting credits on Makdee, Maqbool, Omkara, Kaminey, 7 Khoon Maaf and related projects. He is known for prioritising character fit over star value and for casting unconventional or relatively unknown performers, including theatre actors and Punjabi talent, helping expand the range of faces in mainstream Hindi cinema. He later worked on socially grounded projects such as Talvar, Udta Punjab, Manto and Sonchiriya, and co-founded McGuffin Pictures with Abhishek Chaubey, producing independent cinema including A Death in the Gunj.
