Gu An-na is an artificial intelligence researcher who lives with her young son, Ja-in, in Seoul. A flood caused by an asteroid strike in Antarctica swallows the city and traps them inside a tall apartment building. Security officer Hee-jo tries to lead An-na to the roof because a research mission may help humanity survive. The film begins as a tense rescue story and then turns into strange, serious science fiction about memory, machines, and love.
