David is a young shepherd who lives with his family in ancient Israel. The prophet Samuel tells him that God has chosen him to become king, but David still wants to care for his sheep and serve his people. When the Philistine giant Goliath frightens the army, David faces him with a sling, stones, and trust in God. The film uses bright animation, songs, danger, and gentle humor to tell a serious family story. The story follows David as he grows from a quiet boy into a brave leader while King Saul struggles with fear, power, and jealousy. David’s mother Nitzevet gives him steady support, and his friendship with Saul’s son Jonathan adds a strong human bond to the royal conflict. The film treats faith as the source of David’s courage and presents humility, loyalty, love, and service as the right path to leadership. Its main message says that people should trust God and do what is right even when a stronger enemy seems impossible to defeat.
