Baker Dill is a troubled fishing boat captain on the warm, isolated Plymouth Island. He drinks too much, sleeps with customers, and spends his days chasing a giant tuna called Justice. His quiet routine breaks when his former wife, Karen, asks him to kill her violent new husband, Frank. The tense mystery then shifts into a strange story about grief, a boy, and a computer game.
Karen's abuse and her wish to protect her son drive the murder plan, while Baker's war trauma and love for his child shape his choices. The film treats Frank's control and violence as the main evil, but it also treats revenge as a possible answer. Baker learns that his island life is part of a game made by Patrick, his son, to face the family crisis. The movie focuses on abuse, family pain, guilt, and the line between real life and a created world.
