Pizza Movie follows Montgomery, a shy college student, and Jack, his reckless roommate and best friend, through a rough semester at an American college. Jack is blamed for a football disaster, and both young men become targets for cruel jocks and former friend Lizzy. After Jack finds a tin of homemade MINTS pills, he pushes Montgomery to take one. The film then turns a trip to the dorm lobby into a loud, crude, and surreal battle against hallucinations, bullies, and an overbearing resident adviser.
Their only cure is a pizza waiting in a delivery robot, but each drug phase makes the stairs harder to cross. The trip forces Montgomery to speak honestly to Ashley, makes Jack and Lizzy swap bodies, and brings hidden problems in their friendships into the open. Lizzy must choose between the popular crowd and the two friends she once knew, while the group fights Blake’s plan to seize phones and send rule breakers to a remote dorm. The ending brings the friends back together and rewards loyalty, truth, and kindness, while keeping the movie’s main aim on outrageous jokes, gross stunts, fantasy images, and fast changes in style.
