Inside follows Nemo, a skilled art thief who breaks into a rich collector's New York penthouse. A failed security system seals every exit and leaves him without working water, enough food, or a way to call for help. Nemo turns furniture, tools, and even the owner's art into supplies as heat, cold, hunger, and loneliness wear him down. The movie has little dialogue and builds a slow, harsh mood around one man fighting to stay alive.
The story asks what expensive art and smart technology are worth when a person needs water, food, shelter, and human contact. Nemo watches a housekeeper through security cameras, but he cannot make her hear him, and his hope turns into an obsession. His escape tower slowly becomes an artwork of its own as his body and mind grow weaker. The open ending leaves viewers to decide whether he escapes, dies, or finds a final sense of freedom through making art.
