Woke Score
Lower is better
Breakdown
These are the editorial factors and ratings behind our score for Attack on Titan: THE LAST ATTACK.
Woke representation / casting
Natural Japanese voice cast fits the anime's world and characters; no forced diversity, swaps, or visible identity signaling.
Woke political dialogue
Dialogue centers on freedom, revenge, and stopping genocide within the fictional Titan/Eldia premise only.
Identity-driven story themes
Fictional ethnic persecution and retaliatory genocide drive the plot but stay in fantasy cycle-of-violence framing, not modern activist identity politics.
Western institutional / cultural critique
Fantasy war and oppression themes only; no activist attacks on patriarchy, toxic masculinity, capitalism, or Western institutions.
Review
The movie is a straight compilation of the anime's final two episodes with no added woke content. The entire narrative engine is Eren unleashing the Rumbling to genocide the outside world and protect Paradis from ethnic hatred, while former comrades scramble to kill him and break the cycle of violence. Themes stay locked in fictional war, revenge, freedom, and moral gray areas with zero girlboss rebellion, diversity lectures, or modern identity sermons. Average viewers get dark action and heavy philosophy, nothing activist.
