Review
Alpha (2018) is a prehistoric survival adventure set 20,000 years ago in Ice Age Europe. Young hunter Keda is injured and separated from his tribe during a bison hunt, then forms a bond with an abandoned wolf as they journey home together through harsh wilderness. The film tells a straightforward coming-of-age story about friendship, resilience, and the early human-animal partnership that led to dog domestication, with no visible modern social messaging or identity themes in the narrative, marketing, or presentation.
