Review
This true-crime thriller sticks to the real 1989 events of an FBI agent cheating on his wife with his Appalachian informant, getting her pregnant, and murdering her to cover it up. The movie shows dirty cops, drugs, betrayal, and a dead-end town with zero girl power sermons, zero identity politics, and zero activist lectures. No forced diversity, no modern messaging, no reframing of the events into current social justice talking points.
