Summary

Radha Blank is a New York playwright, TV writer, rapper, and filmmaker whose public work and interviews consistently treat Black, female, and Harlem-centered storytelling as the job. After Off-Broadway play Seed and rooms on The Get Down, Empire, and Spike Lee’s She’s Gotta Have It, she wrote, directed, produced, and starred in The Forty-Year-Old Version, a semi-autobiographical comedy about a black playwright whose Harlem play is reshaped by a white producer for white audiences.
