Review
The Outfit is a tightly plotted 1956 Chicago crime thriller set almost entirely in an English tailor's shop, where the owner (Mark Rylance) becomes entangled in Irish mob violence, a suspected rat, and an FBI recording tape. The story unfolds as a twist-filled game of deception and survival among gangsters. A rival gang boss character played by Nikki Amuka-Bird delivers a short monologue on class resentment toward successful criminals.
