Robert McCall is a retired government assassin who wants a quiet life. After he kills criminals at a Sicilian winery, he is shot and left badly hurt. A local doctor helps him recover in the small town of Altomonte, where he starts to feel at home. When the Camorra crime group threatens local shops, families, and the town's future, McCall chooses to fight back. The movie mixes calm village scenes with harsh violence and a simple good-versus-evil story.
