Secret Service agent Mike Banning is framed for a drone attack on President Allan Trumbull. He goes on the run and races to expose a private-military and political conspiracy. After a drone swarm hits a presidential fishing trip, Banning keeps Trumbull alive and is framed with fake evidence. He escapes custody and is hunted by the FBI while his former Ranger commander Wade Jennings and the vice president push a Russia-war narrative for profit. The story is a fugitive clear-his-name action plot with veteran trauma, father and son reconciliation, loyalty to the presidency, and privatization of war as the villain engine.
There is little woke identity content on screen. Casting includes a black president, a Black Secret Service director, and a black female FBI investigator in roles that fit a modern federal thriller and are not sold as diversity-first arcs.
