English actor Rupert Grint is best known as Ron Weasley in all eight Harry Potter films (2001-2011). After the franchise he built a conventional, mostly apolitical career in comedy, crime, war, and horror, including Driving Lessons, Cherrybomb, Into the White, Snatch (which he also executive-produced), Sick Note, The ABC Murders, Servant, Knock at the Cabin, and Nightborn. He is a private figure, long partnered with actress Georgia Groome, with two daughters, and is not known for a representation-first filmography, DEI campaigning, or a partisan donation record. His main public political identity is transgender advocacy. In 2020, after J.K. Rowling's comments on sex and gender, he told The Sunday Times he firmly stood with the trans community and that trans women are women and trans men are men.
