Swedish producer Peter Kropénin, also credited as Peter Krupenin or Peter Kropenin, has worked in Nordic film since the 1970s. After studying business at the Stockholm School of Economics and film producing at the University of Southern California, he gained experience with Ingmar Bergman, Jörn Donner and other major Swedish and Nordic companies. Since 1982 he has produced more than 35 feature films through Omega Film and HOBAB, including Freud’s Leaving Home, Istanbul, Mother of Mine, Wings of Glass, The Importance of Tying Your Own Shoes, A White, White Day, Clara Sola, Paradise Is Burning and My Favourite Cake. His career also includes production management, executive production, documentaries and shorts, with a recent emphasis on international arthouse partnerships and emerging filmmakers.
