Person profile
Creator Context
Pallavi Joshi is an Indian actress, television host, screenwriter and producer whose career began as a child performer and developed across mainstream Hindi cinema, television and parallel or regional films. Her earlier work includes socially conscious and art-house projects such as Rihaee, Rukmavati Ki Haveli, Woh Chokri, Bhujangayyana Dashavathara and Ilayum Mullum, alongside popular television hosting and acting. In later years she became closely associated with producing and performing in her husband Vivek Agnihotri’s historical and nationalist projects, and she has defended their political framing as part of democratic debate. She hosted Bharat Ki Baat, which promoted positive national narratives, and has described nationalism as distinct from any single political party. She once declined an FTII society role in solidarity with student protests over a BJP-linked appointment, but later became the institute’s vice-president. Her public record shows cultural-nationalist engagement and some institutional independence, without a sustained woke, DEI or activist identity.
