Person profile
Creator Context
Belfast rapper, actor and writer whose public career is defined by politically confrontational Irish-language hip-hop and outspoken activism. As a member of Kneecap, he has repeatedly advocated Irish-language rights, Irish republican identity and resistance to British rule, while linking Ireland’s colonial history to solidarity with Palestinians. He has made prominent pro-Palestinian statements at concerts and in interviews, supported fundraising and protest efforts, and defended the group’s right to political expression during investigations and a terrorism-related prosecution that was later dismissed. His public persona combines anti-establishment provocation with explicit criticism of state power, censorship and military violence. Although much of his music also centers on drugs, partying and black comedy, these themes coexist with a sustained identity-driven and activist-facing political profile.
