Phoebe and Max are twins with superpowers. Their whole family fights crime as superheroes. After one save goes wrong, the Thundermans get sent back to their old town of Hiddenville. The parents like the quiet life. The younger kids want normal school. Phoebe and Max want their hero jobs back. New trouble from villain kids forces the family to work together and prove themselves again.
The movie is a light, silly kids comedy about a superhero family that bickers but learns to team up and stop bad guys. The story focuses on powers, moving home, school life, and saving the day with jokes and cartoon action. There are no political talks, no lessons about identity or social issues, and no push to make representation the point of the story. Viewers see a standard Nickelodeon-style family adventure with a laugh track.
