Person profile
Creator Context
American documentary producer, director and writer whose career combines political reporting with conventional true-crime and social-issue storytelling. He founded MyTwoCensus, a nonpartisan watchdog focused on census accuracy and racial and ethnic misclassification, and his early reporting on alleged voter intimidation became part of a major U.S. political controversy; he later criticized the way conservative media and Donald Trump used the footage to promote broader claims of Democratic voter fraud. Morse directed EuroTrump about Dutch right-wing politician Geert Wilders, presenting himself as an observer who disagreed with many of Wilders’s views but sought access and journalistic understanding rather than advocacy. More recently, he described a planned documentary about Luigi Mangione and the UnitedHealthcare shooting as raising questions about vigilantism, privatized healthcare and the consequences of blocked peaceful change. These are meaningful liberal and politically engaged signals, but his public persona remains that of an issue-oriented filmmaker and journalist rather than an activist built around DEI, identity politics or sustained social-justice campaigning.
